Dr Emma Scott
Dr Scott is an endocrinologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and at the Northern Sydney Endocrine Centre, Sydney. She is currently completing her PhD at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney. Her PhD is focusing on the impact of glycaemic variability on clinical outcomes in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Her research is also assessing the impact of insulin modality (continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion or multiple daily insulin injections) on the development of vascular complications in adult and paediatric populations. Other research interests include endocrinopathies associated with immunotherapy and thyroid cancer. She has presented her research at the Australian Diabetes Society Annual Scientific Meeting, the ESA-SRB Annual Scientific Meeting, the American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions, the Advanced Technologies and Treatments for Diabetes international conference, the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes and the International Thyroid Congress.
