Embrace the best of both worlds in Perth, where soft-sand beaches and scenic parks meet a thriving metropolis of small bars, creative restaurants and curated street art.

Australia’s urban oasis of Perth is nestled within the vast nature of Western Australia – and that’s why the locals love it! Here, not only can you relax on the serene white-sand beaches, but you can immerse yourself in the bustling art galleries, historic neighbourhoods and epic events. Just outside of Perth, you can find idyllic local wineries and unique wildlife.

Perth/Boorloo stands on the ancient country of the Whadjuk Noongar people, one of the 14 clans of the Noongar nation, who have been the Traditional Owners of the south west of Western Australia for at least 45,000 years.

The Western metropolis is the sunniest capital city in Australia, and its people are as bright as the blue skies overhead. Summer arts festivals collide with days on the water, walks in one of the largest inner-city parks, and half-hour drives to fringing wineries and bushland where you can see kangaroos and cockatoos. Rottnest Island (Wadjemup), famous for its smiling quokkas and picture-perfect bays, is only a 30-minute ferry trip across the ocean.

Beach Culture

In Perth, life’s a beach – and there are 19 of the beauties to explore along the coast. Dip and dive with dolphins, soak up an Indian Ocean sunset, or indulge in an impromptu seaside picnic or dining experience. More active? Surf, windsurf, fish or snorkel. As Australia’s sunniest capital, it’s a good bet that every day is beach weather.

Swan Valley Wineries

Rustic charm, time-honoured recipes and generations of tradition and passion sown into the land. This is what you can look forward to in Western Australia’s Swan Valley and the iconic wineries that call it home.

About Perth

Perth CBD

Launched in 2016, Elizabeth Quay was designed to reconnect Perth’s river and city, creating recreational opportunities for locals and visitors alike. Perth’s riverfront was once a place for picnics and paddling, with public baths along the water’s edge. Today, Elizabeth Quay blends Perth’s rich history with modern urban life.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden

One of the largest inner-city parks in the world, Kings Park and Botanic Garden covers 400 hectares of Perth's heart with serene natural bushland and sculpted gardens. It's perched high on the crest of Mount Eliza, making it a top spot to take in sweeping panoramas of Perth's city skyline and Swan River.

Rottnest Island

Just 19 km off the coast of Fremantle but an entire world away, lies the sunny holiday island of Wadjemup / Rottnest Island, blessed with a casual atmosphere, picturesque scenery, dazzling marine life with 63 breathtaking beaches and 20 pristine bays and the island mascot – the quokka.

Whale Watching

Humpback whales tail-slapping the sapphire waters. Dolphins dancing around your knees. Serene turtles swimming past, paying little attention to the brightly coloured fish darting in and out of coral hideaways. Western Australia offers wildlife encounters that are rare and wondrous.
