Dr Emily Gianatti
Dr Emily Gianatti is an experienced Consultant Endocrinologist working at Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Hospital in Murdoch, Western Australia. She provides care to all patients with endocrine disorders, including in pregnancy. She leads the Diabetes in Pregnancy service at Fiona Stanley Hospital which provides care to over 900 pregnant women per year. She is a published, mid-career clinical researcher with areas of interest including andrology, insulin resistance and diabetes in pregnancy. Within her PhD studies she conducted a randomised, controlled trial of testosterone treatment in men with type 2 diabetes and recently she has acted as a site investigator and co-author of publications arising from the TOBGOM (Treatment of Booking Gestational Diabetes Mellitus) randomised controlled study.
Dr Anjana Radhakutty
Dr Anjana Radhakutty is a staff specialist in Endocrinology at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, SA. She undertook her specialty training in Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre and Royal Adelaide Hospital. She completed her PhD with Flinders University on the cardio-metabolic effects of low dose glucocorticoids and was supported by a NHMRC postgraduate research scholarship. In addition to her clinical commitments Anjana is involved in supervising PhD and advanced trainee candidates. She is the convenor of the Adelaide Clinical Endocrine Society meetings and the Quality in Diabetes Care meeting, SA. Anjana is a senior lecturer with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Adelaide and HDR supervisor with Flinders University. Her clinical and research interests are in the disorders of hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis and diabetes mellitus.
Shejil Kumar
Shejil is undergoing a PhD at the University of Sydney and is based at Royal North Shore Hospital and Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He has academic interests in the combination of drug and exercise treatment for osteoporosis, as well as hypophosphataemic disorders, and thyroid cancer. He is passionate about promoting career and professional development for early career clinicians and scientists through his current roles as clinical subcommittee lead for the ANZBMS ECIC, as host of the ESA Hormone Hotseat podcast, and recent role as clinical affairs representative for the ESA ECC.
